Free shipping. Honest delays.
We are a small studio producing in small batches. We ship fast when stock is on the shelf, and we are upfront when a colourway is on the bench. Below is the policy in full — read it before checkout, because it forms part of the terms of sale you accept when you validate your cart.
Standard dispatch
- In-stock orders: dispatched within 48 working hours from our Paris workshop.
- EU delivery: 2 to 5 working days after dispatch (tracked, signature on request).
- UK / Switzerland / Norway: 4 to 8 working days, customs duties paid by the recipient where applicable.
- Rest of world: 5 to 14 working days via DHL Express, fully tracked. Customs duties and local taxes paid by the recipient on delivery.
Lead time on back orders
When a colourway is back-ordered, we make it on demand in the next batch. The maximum waiting period is 3 months from the order date. If your batch is not produced and shipped within 3 months, we will:
- Notify you by email at the 60-day mark with the planned production slot.
- Offer a one-time swap to any in-stock colourway at no additional cost.
- Or, if you prefer to keep waiting, confirm the new shipping date in writing.
The 3-month cap is the only commercial commitment we make on back orders. We do not refund waiting time, we do not offer compensation, and we do not pre-emptively cancel orders. If three months go by and your shell is still not produced, you may write to us and we will arrange the swap.
Why production can take time
We sinter our shells in batches of 50 to 200 units. Setting up the kiln, quality-controlling the batch and finishing each shell adds up to roughly six weeks of clock time per colourway. When demand exceeds our last batch, the next batch enters the queue behind the colourways already in production. That queue is what creates the waiting period — never warehouse mismanagement, never artificial scarcity.
Shipping cost
Free, on every order, to every address we ship to. There is no minimum cart value. If you buy a single €55 strap, you pay €55. If you buy two cases and three straps, you pay the listed total. We never add a surprise fee at checkout.
Carriers we use
Every parcel ships with a tracking number, sent automatically to the email address on the order.
- France: Colissimo, signature option on request.
- Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg: Mondial Relay or DHL, depending on availability.
- Rest of EU + UK + Switzerland + Norway: DHL Express.
- Rest of world: DHL Express, fully tracked door-to-door.
The carrier is selected by destination, not by checkout choice. We do not offer "premium" or "next-day" upgrades on top of the free shipping.
Customs and duties
Inside the EU: no customs, VAT included in the price. UK, Switzerland, Norway and rest of world: any customs duty, import tax or local VAT is paid by the recipient on delivery, per local law. We declare every parcel at its real commercial value and we do not mark gifts as free of charge. Some countries may require an ID number or tax ID at customs clearance — the carrier will contact you directly if so.
Tracking and delivery proof
The carrier's online tracking page is the legal proof of delivery. If the parcel is marked delivered and you have not received it, the next step is the carrier claim — not a refund. We open the claim on your behalf within 48 hours of your written request and follow up until the carrier validates or rejects it.
Lost or damaged parcels
If a parcel is marked delivered but not received, or arrives visibly damaged, contact us within 14 days of the carrier's delivery date at hello@klips.watch. We open the carrier claim on your behalf and, once the claim is validated by the carrier, we ship a replacement at no cost. This is the only situation in which a KLIP'S product is reshipped or replaced after sale; please read the no-refund policy for the rest.
Damage that you discover more than 14 days after delivery cannot be claimed against the carrier and falls under the legal warranty of conformity (Articles L217-3 et seq.). It may or may not be covered depending on the type of defect.
Wrong address, refused parcel, returned to sender
If you provide an incorrect address and the parcel is returned to us undelivered, we will hold it for 30 days and re-ship on request once you cover the second-shipment cost (typically €8 to €15 in the EU). After 30 days the parcel is donated and the order is closed.
If a parcel is delivered to a relay point and not collected within the relay's hold period (usually 14 days), the parcel returns to us and the same rule applies.
Pre-orders and waiting list
For new colourways announced on Instagram before the public release, we run a waiting list (no payment, just an email subscription). When stock is ready we send a private link to the waiting list 24 hours before the public release. There is no priority pricing, only priority access.
