Read this page in full before placing an order. By completing the checkout you confirm that you have read, understood and accepted the policy below. We made it deliberately strict because our entire business model relies on small original batches that cannot be resold once they have left our hands.
The rule, in one sentence
KLIP'S does not accept returns, exchanges or refunds. Every order is final from the moment payment is captured.
Why we do this
KLIP'S is an independent design studio. Each colourway is produced in small batches, sometimes to order. We have two unavoidable concerns:
- Risk of unauthorised reproduction. A returned shell can be measured, scanned, moulded and copied within hours by anyone with a mid-range industrial 3D scanner. Refusing physical returns is the only way we can protect an original creation that is not registered as a design at every stage of its evolution.
- Risk of substitution. Once a piece has left our workshop, we cannot guarantee that the item we receive back is the exact item we shipped. We refuse to put any other client at risk by reselling a returned product as new.
- Risk of contamination. The strap is a textile that has been in direct skin contact. We will not resell it, full stop, and we will not assume the cost of destroying a returned strap on top of the loss of sale.
This is not a commercial trick to keep your money. It is the condition under which we can keep the brand small, original, and traceable. If you are not comfortable with this rule, please do not buy from us — there is no friction in not buying.
Statutory rights — the legal basis
Under EU consumer law (Directive 2011/83/EU, Articles L221-18 and following of the French Consumer Code), distance buyers normally have 14 days to withdraw from a purchase. KLIP'S products are made or finalised to your specific configuration (case colour × strap colour, sometimes produced on demand). They therefore fall under the exclusion of Article 16(c) of the Directive (Article L221-28 3° of the French Consumer Code): "goods made to the consumer's specifications or clearly personalised". The right of withdrawal does not apply.
The above does not affect your statutory rights regarding non-conformity (Articles L217-3 and following of the French Consumer Code) or hidden defects (Articles 1641 and following of the Civil Code). If a product arrives non-conforming or defective, see the next section.
The only cases where we replace a product
We will replace, at our cost, a KLIP'S item that is:
- Visibly damaged on arrival (broken shell, torn strap), reported within 14 days of delivery with photos clearly showing the defect and the original packaging.
- Materially non-conforming with the order (wrong colour shipped, wrong reference shipped).
- Lost in transit, after the carrier claim is validated (see shipping).
- Defective due to a manufacturing flaw revealed within the 24-month statutory warranty of conformity (cracked shell from normal wear, strap fibre breaking on normal use).
In all of these cases, contact us at hello@klips.watch with your order number and clear photos. We will confirm in writing and send a replacement once the claim is validated. We do not refund in cash; we replace the item.
What is not a defect
- Matte finish picking up a slight gloss in contact zones over time.
- Strap relaxing by 1 to 2 mm after several months of wear.
- Pigment darkening by half a tone after long sun exposure (after years).
- Micro-scratches from normal contact with desks, bags and doorframes.
- "I changed my mind", "the colour looks different on screen", "it is too bright", "it is too dull".
Sizing and compatibility are your responsibility
Compatibility is documented in detail on the compatibility page and the strap fits any wrist between 12 and 23 cm. Buying a KLIP'S without owning a genuine Audemars Piguet × Swatch is not a use case we support, and is not grounds for a refund. If you are unsure, write to us before ordering.
Single-purchase rule
Each KLIP'S order is treated as a single, individual purchase. We do not run trial periods, "try at home" programmes, sale-or-return arrangements, partial refunds, store credit, or vouchers. The first reason is the same as the rest of this page (originality and traceability); the second reason is operational: we are a small team and every special process is a special exposure.
Order modification before dispatch
Before your order ships, you can change the colourway, the size of the order, or the shipping address by writing to hello@klips.watch. Once the order is in dispatch (typically the morning after order capture), no further modification is possible.
Cancellation by KLIP'S
We reserve the right to cancel and fully refund any order that appears fraudulent, incomplete, made in bad faith, or made by a known counterfeiter or competitor placing an order to obtain a sample. This is the only case in which KLIP'S issues a cash refund.
Mediation and dispute resolution
If a dispute arises between you and KLIP'S, we strongly encourage a written exchange first at hello@klips.watch. If we cannot find a solution, you may use the European online dispute resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. As a French seller we are also subject to the competent French courts for any litigation that cannot be resolved amicably (see terms, clause 10).
