If your AP × Swatch is in original condition (no aftermarket caseback, no third-party crystal swap, no engraving on the case profile), KLIP'S will fit. If your watch has been visibly modified, write to us before ordering — we will tell you honestly whether the shell will sit correctly.

• Any standalone Audemars Piguet Royal Oak or Royal Oak Offshore (different dimensions and case construction).
• Any standalone Swatch model (Sistem51, Bioceramic MoonSwatch, Skin, Big Bold, Irony, etc.).
• Any other 41 mm watch from another brand. Same diameter does not mean same fit. The AP × Swatch case has a very specific lateral profile that is not shared with any other 41 mm watch.
• Pocket watches, smart watches, or watches with non-circular cases.

Forcing a KLIP'S shell onto a non-compatible watch may damage either piece. We accept no responsibility for use outside the documented compatibility scope. The dress-up is a hollow shell shaped to clip around the existing case body. Two flexible inner ribs grip the lateral profile of the AP × Swatch case. There is no glue, no screw, and no contact with the crystal, the crown or the caseback. The original watch is mechanically untouched and remains the load-bearing structure of the assembly.

Fitting takes roughly four seconds: align the shell with the crown axis, press evenly on the 12 and 6 positions until you feel the ribs seat with a soft click, done. Removal is the reverse: pinch the strap free of the lugs, slide the shell sideways from the 9 position, and the original watch returns to its factory appearance. There is no break-in period, no glue cure, and no second visit needed.

The strap clips onto the original AP × Swatch lugs using the same pin standard as the factory strap. You can mix and match: keep the factory strap and add a KLIP'S shell, or keep the factory shell-less look and add a KLIP'S strap. Both pieces are sold à la carte.

Every shell is dimensionally controlled at the workshop with a calibrated 3D scanner and a tactile gauge. Tolerance on the inner rib profile is ±0.05 mm. Any shell outside that envelope is destroyed, never sold as a second. We do not run a B-stock outlet because every B-stock unit becomes a perfect master for would-be copyists.

Water resistance is unchanged from your watch (3 ATM as published by the manufacturer). KLIP'S does not enhance or reduce it. We recommend removing the dress-up before any prolonged immersion, hot showers, sauna, or chlorinated pools — not for safety, but to protect the woven strap and the matte finish of the shell. The bioceramic itself is hydrophobic and dishwasher-survivable, but we do not recommend testing that in the wild.

For everyday wear (office, commuting, walking, light sport), no precautions are needed. The shell is scratch-resistant in normal contact with desks, bags and doorframes; if you drop the watch, the shell will absorb the first impact before the bezel does.

• Temperature: safe between −20 °C and +60 °C. Do not leave the watch on a car dashboard in summer.
• Sun: mineral pigments are UV-stable for at least 5 years of normal exposure. Direct sun in storage is fine.
• Perfume, alcohol, sunscreen: avoid direct contact. Wipe immediately if exposed; long-term contact may dull the matte finish.
• Magnetism, electricity, X-ray: the shell is fully passive. No effect on the watch's movement.

If your AP × Swatch has been opened by a third-party watchmaker, regasketed with non-original parts, or had its caseback replaced, the lateral profile may have shifted by tenths of a millimetre.
