The concept

An accessory, not a watch.

KLIP'S is an independent French studio that designs clip-on dress-ups for the Audemars Piguet × Swatch collaboration. We do not manufacture watches, we do not replicate watches, and we are not affiliated with Audemars Piguet or Swatch. We design a removable accessory that lets you change the look of your watch in four seconds, without tools, without altering it, and without ever interfering with the original timepiece you already own and love.

What KLIP'S is

A KLIP'S product is composed of two pieces: a case dress-up (a hollow bioceramic shell that clips around the existing case of your watch) and a strap (a one-size woven band). Neither part contains a movement, a battery, a crown, a crystal, or any timekeeping component. KLIP'S adds nothing functional to your watch — it changes only the visible exterior, and only as long as you choose to wear it.

The shell is held in place by mechanical friction on the existing case body. There is no adhesive, no screw, no permanent bond. Removing it takes about four seconds and leaves the original watch in its original state. From the outside, the silhouette of your watch is dressed in a new colour; from the inside, nothing has been touched.

This is the simplest possible philosophy: we honour the object you already own, and we offer you a new way to wear it.

What KLIP'S is not

  • It is not a watch. It does not tell time on its own and never will.
  • It is not a replacement caseback, crystal or crown. The original components of your Audemars Piguet × Swatch are never touched, removed or modified.
  • It is not a counterfeit. We do not reproduce trademarks, logos, dial designs, hands, indices, or any protected design element of Audemars Piguet, Swatch, or the AP × Swatch collaboration. KLIP'S has its own visual language, its own colorways, its own brand mark.
  • It is not officially licensed by Audemars Piguet or Swatch. KLIP'S is an independent third-party accessory, sold only to people who already own a genuine AP × Swatch watch.
  • It is not a modification of your watch in any legal or warranty sense. Because there is no permanent contact, removing the shell restores the watch to its original factory state instantly.

Why we exist

The AP × Swatch collab is one of the most beloved watch releases of the decade. Owners told us the same thing again and again: they wanted to keep wearing it, but in different moods. A second watch costs hundreds of euros. A dress-up costs €130 for the full set, and lets you live with five, ten, twenty different looks on the same watch. That is the entire idea.

We started in Paris in 2025 because we are, first, watch enthusiasts. Three of us bought the AP × Swatch on launch day and immediately started to imagine other colourways, other moods, other outfits the watch could match. None of us wanted to "improve" the watch — we wanted to extend its life inside our wardrobe. KLIP'S is the answer we built for ourselves before we made it available to anyone else.

Originality and intellectual property

Every shape, every colorway, and every visual asset on this site is an original creation by KLIP'S. We do not copy AP, we do not copy Swatch, we do not copy any other watch brand. Product photography on this site is generated with AI from our own designs and from photographs of our own prototypes — no third-party image is reused.

Audemars Piguet®, Swatch® and any related marks remain the property of their respective owners. We mention them only descriptively, to inform potential buyers that our accessory is dimensionally compatible with their product. This is nominative use under European trademark case law (notably BMW v. Deenik C-63/97) and does not imply any partnership, sponsorship or endorsement.

Our colourways are named, signed and developed in Paris. They are not transcriptions of AP, Swatch or AP × Swatch reference colours. Where a hue happens to be visually close to an existing reference, this is the unavoidable consequence of working within a small palette of pastel mineral pigments — never a deliberate match.

Made in small batches

We produce in small batches in the European Union, between 50 and 200 units per colourway, and we never restock identically. When a batch sells out, the next run uses a slightly evolved formulation: a touch of pigment shift, a refined surface finish, occasionally a new inner-rib geometry. Two reasons. First, it forces us to stay creative. Second, it makes every batch traceable for after-sale and authenticity purposes.

Small-batch production also means we cannot accept returns: a returned shell can be measured, scanned and copied within hours by anyone with mid-range industrial equipment. The full reasoning is documented on the no-refund policy page, which forms part of the deal you accept at checkout.

A philosophy of the accessory

KLIP'S sits at the intersection of three traditions: watchmaking accessories (straps, deployant clasps, watch rolls), fashion accessories (scarves, ties, pocket squares) and product personalisation (phone cases, sneaker dubrés). Like any good accessory, it does one thing well: it changes the look of the object it covers without trying to be the object itself. We never claim our shell is a watch case, just like a phone case never claims to be a phone.

This is also why we will never sell a KLIP'S without your AP × Swatch already on your wrist. The accessory only makes sense when paired with the watch it was designed to dress.

Sustainable by default

Producing in small batches is not just a brand statement — it is an environmental choice. We do not over-print, we do not warehouse seasonal stock, and we use recycled fibre for our straps (78% recycled polyamide) and FSC-certified paper for our packaging. We refuse blister packs, plastic-wrapped sleeves and silica gel sachets. Every component of a KLIP'S parcel is either recyclable in standard EU streams or compostable in industrial conditions.
